eBay - Google: The War is On?

It is believed that Google, Yahoo, Amazon and eBay focus on their core business as a search provider, online shopping and online auctioning. But now things seem to be different, they seem to be messing up with one another’s business.

Google launched its own Google Checkout service in 2006 and eBay responded by placing restriction on their sellers. EBay required their sellers to use only Paypal as a mode of payment and it further said that they will not protect the buyers Paypal funded transaction. On the other hand Google responded by providing $10.00 worth of adwords to spend on their search site. Google has also mentioned that it does have big plans for its Google Base. Online eBay sellers would definitely love to see Google as their alternative for online auction. The eBay high fees have indeed disappointed online sellers.

Time will reveal all, for the mean time lets just wait and watch.

Good luck and thanks for reading!!
